Pending Level 2 USA Triathlon Coach certification, Exercise Physiologist, NSCA (Strength and Conditioning Certification).
Degrees in Sports Management and Exercise Science. His 17+ years as an Exercise Physiologist and 20+ years as a Strength and Conditioning Coach have shaped his knowledge. Taught at the collegiate level, lectured on national circuits and authored in journals and textbooks
Designed programs for individuals of all levels, including those having progressed to #1 national rankings, world rankings and professional competition.
I have been involved in athletics my entire life, but involvement in the sport of triathlon came about after having been sidelined from physical activity for 2.5 years due to a rare health condition. After years of medications and a gain of 40 lbs, I used the sport to transform not only my body, but my identity. I am incredibly passionate about what the sport of triathlon can do for the individual psyche and find the process of exercise prescription to be the critical difference in participating and competing. I believe working with a coach removes the emotion from exercise prescription thereby reducing the likelihood of overuse injuries resulting from misguided training protocol.
Provides On-Line-Coaching– Completely customized triathlon program, based on variables that you have the capability to track (rate of perceived exertion, heart rate, zone level (per lactate threshold), etc…); Personalized Exercise Prescription – guided exercise prescription based on either video analysis, photo analysis or hands on analysis; Skill Analysis – video review of swim bike or run; and Chronic Pain Management Programming – guided exercise and flexibility programming based on video, photo or hands on analysis.
